ROSS LIVINGSTON (PRINCIPAL DENTIST)

B.D.S(Glas) M.J.D.F(rcs.eng)

GDC 191120

Having graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery, I returned to Northern Ireland to work in Holywood for 3 years.

During this time I completed further studies and examinations and gained membership to the Royal College of surgeons in 2012.

I sit on the British Dental Association (BDA) Northern Ireland Dental Practice Committee and also the College of General Dentistry board for NI representing the dental profession when working with government bodies to implement policies etc for NI.

Livingston Dental is a long established family practice. My father, Ed Livingston, bought the practice in May 1984 and has grown and developed the practice over the years. I joined the family practice in 2013 and took over the reins when my dad retired in 2019.

My wife, Tracey, and I merged our practices together in 2021 and undertook a massive refurbishment of 38 Hamilton Road. We are delighted to have a state of the art practice and a first class team to look after all your dental needs. I really enjoy my profession and take pride in looking after all of your family’s dental needs.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my expanding family and also hitting the occasional golf ball!

TRACEY LIVINGSTON (PRINCIPAL DENTIST)

BDS (Glas) MFDS RCPS (Glas)

I qualified from Glasgow University in 2010 and completed my foundation training in Scotland prior to moving to Northern Ireland. To further enhance my expertise, I undertook a course in Aesthetic & Restorative Dentistry at the London Dental Education Centre and the Operative Restorative Dentistry course run by Dr Paul Tipton. I am also a member of the prestigious Faculty of Dental Surgeons in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow.

As a child I was fascinated that my Grandad always removed his false teeth and popped them into a glass of water on the dinner table before eating – and so my interest in teeth began. It has always fascinated me how a smile can light up a person’s appearance. That is why my main interest is Preventative and Restorative Dentistry. My aim is to offer you excellent dental care so that you achieve and maintain your teeth for life.

I appreciate that visiting the dentist may not be the most pleasant experience for anyone but it is my ambition is to make your visit as stress free and pleasant as possible. I love my job as a dentist and enjoy putting my patients at ease while providing high quality dentistry.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and friends, getting out for walks with my beagle Ellie and attempting some yoga and gardening.

CATHERINE KANE

BDS (Glas)

GDC 8197

My name is Katie Kane. I graduated from Glasgow university in 2003 and have worked in general practice since. Initially I settled in Scotland until relocating home to be closer to family in 2015. My passion in dentistry lies in conquering the nation’s ‘fear of the dentist’ and I hope my caring nature and compassion shows through all the PPE! I love working with anxious patients and kids and instilling the importance of prevention from a young age.

There’s not much spare time outside of work with three young kids. Exercising keeps me sane (especially through home schooling) and I run and try a bit of yoga when I can. Travelling and dining out are also a favourite pastime of mine when I get the chance.

HANNAH MCMULLAN

BDS (Liverpool)

GDC 289568

I qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2020 and undertook my foundation training in Kent. Following this I moved to London to complete a year in Maxillofacial and oral surgery at King’s College Hospital before returning to practice in London. I have recently passed my exams to become a Member of the faculty of Dental Surgery Edinburgh.

I have a keen interest in general restorative dentistry and oral surgery and am committed to keeping up to date with new advances in dental treatments. I find the most rewarding part of the job is helping nervous patients complete treatments which they may have found previously daunting with clear communication and reassurance throughout the appointment.

Outside of dentistry I love spending time with my friends and family, going to pilates classes, playing tennis and going for big walks!
